What you get
  • The P.R.O.M.P.T. framework for structuring any prompt
  • Power tips that fix the most common mistakes
  • Copy-paste prompts you can try immediately

Step 1: The P.R.O.M.P.T. framework

Use this six-part formula to structure any prompt.

  • P: Purpose. What is the goal? Summarise, brainstorm, reformat.
  • R: Role. Who should the AI act as? Consultant, designer, recruiter.
  • O: Output. What format do you want? Bullets, an email, a three-step plan.
  • M: Materials. What inputs or examples should it use?
  • P: Parameters. Style, tone, length, constraints.
  • T: Test. Review, refine, rerun.

Example: "Write a three-paragraph summary (Output) for my boss (Role) using this report (Materials). Keep it punchy (Parameters)."

Step 2: Power tips

  • Do not settle. Refine and rerun two or three times. The first answer is rarely the best one.
  • Add constraints. "150 words, bullet points only" beats leaving it open.
  • Give examples. "Write in the style of this" does more than any adjective.
  • Say what to avoid. "No jargon or filler" removes most of what you would edit out anyway.
  • Fact-check the details. AI can hallucinate, and confident wrong answers are the expensive kind.
