How to Publish Your AI-Built Website or App with VibeHost

You’ve built something with AI. It works on your screen, but nobody else can see it. This guide gets it online with a link you can share, in minutes, and you don’t need any hosting experience.

Sponsored. This guide is part of a paid partnership with VibeHost, and we may earn a commission if you sign up through our links. The steps are the same either way.

Free plan, no credit card needed.

Haven’t built anything yet? Start with our copy-and-paste prompt

Section 1: Building and publishing are two different things

AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can build you a website or app. But what you see in the chat, or on your own computer, is a preview. Nobody else can open it.

Deploying just means putting your website online so other people can open it.

VibeHost does that part. It takes what your AI built and gives it a web address you can share.

Beforelocalhost:3000Only on your computer
Afteryour-app-name.vibehost.spaceA link anyone you choose can open

What it can host:

  • Websites and simple apps (HTML, CSS and JavaScript)
  • Next.js apps, including ones with server features
  • Things you built in ChatGPT Canvas, Claude Artifacts, Gemini Canvas, Google AI Studio and v0

One thing to know up front: every new app on VibeHost is private by default. Only you can see it until you choose to share it. Section 6 shows you how.

Section 2: Where are you starting from?

  1. I haven’t built anything yet.Use our copy-and-paste prompt.
  2. I built it in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini (in the chat).Use the Chrome extension. No terminal needed.
  3. I built it with Claude Code, Cursor or another coding agent.Let your agent deploy it.
  4. I have the website files on my computer.Deploy the folder with one command.

Section 3: No website yet? Build one in 2 minutes

Copy this prompt into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. It builds a simple landing page for a made-up app, which is perfect for a first deploy because there’s no database, payments or logins to worry about.

Copy prompt: starter landing page

Create a modern, mobile-friendly landing page for a made-up productivity app called FocusFlow.

Include:
- a strong headline and one-line explanation
- three benefit cards
- a simple "how it works" section with 3 steps
- a clear call-to-action button

Use clean typography, generous spacing and a professional design.

Build it as a single, self-contained HTML file with the CSS and JavaScript included. No backend, no API keys and no external build tools.

Where to paste it:

  • Claude: paste it into a normal chat. The page appears as an Artifact on the right.
  • ChatGPT: ask it to “open this in Canvas” so you can see the page.
  • Gemini: use Canvas in the Gemini app.

Want it to look like your business? Swap “a made-up productivity app called FocusFlow” for your business name and what you do.

Next: create your VibeHost account, then use the Chrome extension (Method 1) to publish it.

Section 4: Create your free account

  1. Go to VibeHost using the button below.
  2. Sign up. You can use your Google account.
  3. You’ll land in your workspace. That’s where all your apps live. Anyone you invite to the workspace can see the apps you share with it.
  4. You start on the Free plan. You don’t need to pay to follow this guide.

Section 5: Get it online

Pick the method that matches how you built it. They all end in the same place: a live link.

Method 1: The Chrome extension (no terminal)

Best for: anything you built in ChatGPT Canvas, Claude Artifacts, Gemini Canvas, Google AI Studio or v0.

  1. Install the VibeHost extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar and pin VibeHost so it’s easy to find.
  3. Click the VibeHost icon and sign in with Google.
  4. Open your project in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. A Deploy to VibeHost button appears next to the canvas’s own buttons.
  5. Click it, choose your workspace, and change the app name if you like.
  6. Click Deploy. Simple pages usually go live in about 5 seconds, and your link appears.

Updating it later: make your changes in the chat and click Deploy again. The extension updates the same app, and your main link shows the new version.

Not built in one of those tools? Open any webpage, click the VibeHost icon and choose Capture & Deploy. It saves a copy of that page and publishes it.

If the button doesn’t appear: the AI tool may have changed its layout. Copy the code into a file and use Method 3 instead.

Method 2: Let your AI coding agent do it

Best for: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf and other coding agents.

  1. On vibehost.com, copy VibeHost’s install prompt.
  2. Paste it into your coding agent. The agent installs VibeHost’s command-line tool and starts sign-in.
  3. A browser window opens. Sign in to VibeHost to approve it.
  4. Ask your agent to deploy, for example:
Copy prompt: deploy with your agent

Deploy this project to VibeHost. Make sure you deploy the built output folder (the one with index.html at the top level), not the source files. When it's live, give me the link and tell me its current visibility.
  5. Open the link it gives you.

Using Claude Desktop or ChatGPT instead? VibeHost also has an MCP connector, which lets those apps deploy and manage your sites from the chat. See VibeHost’s MCP guide.

Method 3: Deploy a folder yourself

Best for: you have the website files on your computer and you’re happy to paste a few commands.

  1. Install the VibeHost CLI. Copy the install command for your computer (Mac, Linux or Windows) from VibeHost’s quickstart guide and run it in your terminal.
  2. Sign in:
    vibehost login

A browser window opens to approve it.
  3. Create your app (use lowercase letters, numbers and dashes):
    vibehost app create my-first-site

  4. Deploy your folder:
    vibehost deploy ./my-folder --app my-first-site

The folder you deploy must have index.html at the top level. If your project has a build step, deploy the build output folder (often called dist or out), not your source files.
  5. Open the link VibeHost prints.

Section 6: Why can’t anyone else see it? (Private by default)

Every new app on VibeHost starts private. Having a link doesn’t mean other people can open it. That’s a good thing, because nothing goes public by accident.

The three visibility levels:

LevelWho can open it
Private (default)Only you, and people you give access to
WorkspaceEveryone in your VibeHost workspace. Outsiders can’t, even with the link
PublicAnyone with the link

How to change it:

  • In the VibeHost dashboard: open your app and change its visibility.
  • In the terminal:
    vibehost app visibility my-first-site public

Want to share with one person, not the world?

  • Invite them by email:
vibehost app grants add-email friend@example.com viewer --app my-first-site

  • Or create a share link that expires:
    vibehost app share-link create --app my-first-site --expires-in 7d

Password protection is available on the Business plan. A password applies to everyone, even people with a share link.

Test it like a stranger would: open your link in an incognito or private browser window. If it works there, it works for everyone you’ve shared it with.

Good to know: public apps on vibehost.space addresses tell search engines not to index them. That’s fine for sharing a link, but if you want people to find your site on Google, use a custom domain (Business plan) and check VibeHost’s custom domains guide.

Section 7: Updating your site (and undoing a bad update)

  • To update: make your changes, then deploy again (click Deploy in the extension, ask your agent, or run vibehost deploy). Your link switches to the new version within seconds.
  • To undo: VibeHost keeps your previous versions. Roll back to the last one with:
    vibehost rollback --app my-first-site
